This article is not intended to cover all facets of the knowledge society and its pillars (Education, ICT and ITS) for the region but to develop an understanding of the situation based on documentary research and consultation with key stakeholders. Indeed, innovations are not only technological, but also social and organizational. Furthermore, for a knowledge-based development process to exist, it is necessary to have an educated and skilled workforce, in parallel with dense, modern and intelligent information infrastructures.</p><p>To carry out this study, the data collection was structured around two main avenues. In the first place, the research and the documentary analysis, reinforced in the second place, by a series of face-to-face meetings and interviews carried out in face-to-face and remote interviews, made in the form of a remote dialogue by way of electronic or telephone (telephone, e-mail or Skype).</p><p>In the same vein, this article presents a model multi-stakeholder approach for capacity building and sensitization of African leaders on issues of the knowledge society, ICT, education, science, technology and innovation.</p> ER -
